Terms of Service

Effective date: July 28, 2026

In plain language: Arch Tools is a prepaid, pay-per-use API. You buy credits (card via Stripe, or USDC via x402), each tool call costs the credits advertised in the live catalog, and credits are generally non-refundable — crypto payments are always final. Don't abuse the tools, don't spam, don't generate abusive content. You must be 18+. You can delete your account and its data yourself at any time. Full details below.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Arch Tools ("the Service"), operated by MCMetaverse LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company ("we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Age requirement: You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to create an account or use the Service. The Service is intended for developers and businesses, not for children.

2. Description of Service

Arch Tools provides a pay-per-use API platform offering 63 developer tools and AI-agent utilities — web scraping and search, AI text generation, image and video generation, audio transcription, text-to-speech, email delivery, crypto data, AI reasoning, conversational sessions, and more. The authoritative, always-current tool catalog and per-tool credit prices are published at /tools and in the machine-readable OpenAPI spec. Access is granted via API key upon registration; credits are consumed per API call. An MCP connector is available at archtools.dev/mcp.

Bring Your Own Key (BYOK): You may optionally supply your own API keys for supported third-party providers (currently Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, Google, Firecrawl, Brave Search, Tavily, Exa, ElevenLabs, Remove.bg, and Runway) via per-request headers. Calls made with your own provider key are charged 20% of the listed credit cost (minimum 1 credit) to cover platform overhead. BYOK keys are used only to fulfill that request and are not stored. BYOK usage remains fully subject to these Terms and the AUP.

Service Directory: Arch Tools maintains a curated directory of AI-powered services. Directory listings are informational; inclusion does not constitute an endorsement by MCMetaverse LLC.

3. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address to register. Disposable/temporary email domains are rejected. You are responsible for keeping your API key confidential; your key is stored by us only as a one-way hash, so we cannot recover it for you — only rotate it. Do not share your API key or allow unauthorized access to your account.

4. Acceptable Use

In short: lawful use only. No spam, no malware, no deepfakes or sexual content involving real people or minors, no reselling keys or credits. Generation prompts are automatically screened, and violating requests are refused and logged.

Your use of the Service is governed by our full Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. In summary, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or violate any third-party rights or applicable laws
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, copy, resell, or sublicense the Service; or resell, transfer, or redistribute your API key or credits
  • Attempt to exceed rate limits, bypass authentication or billing, or abuse the platform
  • Use the Service to generate spam, malware, phishing, or harmful content
  • Email tools: send unsolicited commercial email (spam) or otherwise violate the CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR, or applicable anti-spam law. You are solely responsible for having consent from your recipients. To limit abuse, the email tools enforce an automatic per-recipient daily send cap (currently 10 messages per recipient per day across the platform); capped requests are rejected.
  • Image & video generation: generate illegal, exploitative, or non-consensual imagery. Prompts to the generation tools are automatically screened before processing; requests indicating child sexual content, deepfakes/face-swaps, or sexual imagery of real, identifiable people are refused with a content_policy error and logged. See AUP §4d.
  • Text-to-speech: clone voices without consent or create audio intended to deceive listeners about its source.
  • AI-generated content: you are responsible for reviewing and validating all AI outputs before use. AI outputs are not legal, medical, or financial advice.
  • Session API: conversation context is held in-memory only and is automatically deleted no later than 4 hours after session creation (and on server restarts); it is never written to disk. Do not use sessions to store or relay harmful or illegal content.

5. Credits and Billing

In short: credits are prepaid and non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. The price charged is always the price advertised in the live catalog at the time of the call. Model-selectable AI tools apply a published per-model multiplier. Crypto (x402/USDC) payments are final. If a Stripe charge is refunded or disputed, the credits it bought are removed from the account.

Free signup grant: new accounts receive a one-time grant of 100 free credits — a starter portion (currently 25) usable immediately, with the remainder unlocked when you verify your email address. One grant per person: duplicate identities receive no grant, and signup volume per IP is limited.

Purchasing credits: credits may be purchased via Stripe using one-time credit packs — currently $9 for 3,000, $49 for 25,000, and $199 for 125,000 credits — or via monthly subscription plans: Starter ($19/mo, 10,000 credits), Pro ($49/mo, 30,000 credits), Growth ($99/mo, 75,000 credits), and Business ($199/mo, 175,000 credits). Individual calls may also be paid per-request in USDC via the x402 protocol (Section 5b). Current pricing is always available at /pricing and GET /v1/billing/plans.

Per-model pricing: for AI tools that let you choose the model (e.g. ai-generate, ai-oracle), the listed credit cost is anchored to the standard model tier and a published per-model multiplier applies — premium models (e.g. Opus-class) cost more credits per call and economy models cost fewer, exactly as shown in the live catalog. Unknown or unlisted models are charged at the standard (1.0×) rate.

  • Prepaid, non-refundable: credits are prepaid and non-refundable except where required by applicable law. See the Refund Policy.
  • Non-transferable: credits are tied to a single account and may not be transferred, sold, gifted, or assigned.
  • One-time packs don't expire while your account remains in good standing.
  • Subscription credits refresh each billing cycle; unused subscription credits do not roll over and expire at cycle end.
  • Cancellation: cancel any time via your dashboard or [email protected]; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, with no partial refunds for unused time.
  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically each cycle on your payment method on file until cancelled.
  • Refunds, disputes & clawback: if a Stripe charge is refunded or a chargeback/dispute is filed, the credits originally granted for that purchase are automatically deducted from your balance (never below zero). Filing fraudulent disputes may result in account suspension.
  • No resale: purchasing credits or subscriptions to resell access to the Service is prohibited.
  • Suspension: violation of these billing terms may result in account suspension without refund.

5a. Rate Limits

To keep the platform stable for everyone, requests are rate-limited. A platform-wide limit (currently 300 requests per minute per IP) applies to all traffic, with stricter limits on authentication and registration endpoints. When you exceed a limit the API returns HTTP 429 with standard rate-limit headers. Limits may change with reasonable notice, and sustained abuse may result in throttling or suspension.

5b. x402 Cryptocurrency Payments

Arch Tools supports per-request x402 protocol payments in USDC stablecoin. The networks we accept are published live in our x402 discovery document at /.well-known/x402 and on the Fund page. By using x402 payments, you agree that:

  • Payments are final: cryptocurrency settlements are final and irreversible once confirmed on-chain. We cannot reverse, cancel, or refund an x402 payment, regardless of whether you used the credited API call.
  • Blockchain finality: payment is complete upon on-chain confirmation. Network congestion, failed transactions, or insufficient gas fees are your responsibility; we are not liable for transactions that fail to confirm.
  • Wallet responsibility: you are solely responsible for the security of your wallet, private keys, and seed phrases. We never ask for private keys. Lost wallet access does not entitle you to credit recovery.
  • Denomination: x402 payments are denominated in USDC; we are not responsible for value fluctuations in assets you convert from.

5c. Facilitator-as-a-Service

Arch Tools offers facilitator services for x402 payment processing on behalf of third-party API providers. If you use our Facilitator-as-a-Service:

  • Service fees: facilitator fees are disclosed at the time of transaction and deducted from the payment amount before settlement to the service provider.
  • Settlement timing: settlements to service providers are processed according to the terms agreed between Arch Tools and the provider.
  • Liability: MCMetaverse LLC acts as a payment facilitator only. We are not responsible for the quality, availability, or performance of third-party services accessed through our facilitator; direct service-quality disputes to the provider.
  • Compliance: you represent that your use complies with all applicable laws, including money transmission regulations in your jurisdiction.

5d. Agent Identity (Know Your Agent)

Arch Tools provides an Agent Identity system that assigns reputation scores and verifiable identities to AI agents. Scores are computed algorithmically from objective metrics (payment history, usage patterns, error rates, account age) and are not manually adjusted. Your score may be visible to other users and providers in the ecosystem. To dispute a score, email [email protected]; we respond within 14 business days. Creating multiple identities to circumvent reputation penalties is prohibited.

5e. Service Directory

If you submit a listing to the Service Directory: you represent your listing is accurate and current; we may remove any listing at our discretion (inaccuracy, inactivity, policy violations, complaints); you may request removal of your own listing at any time; and you grant MCMetaverse LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your service name, logo, and description in the directory and related materials. Inclusion is not an endorsement.

6. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any tool in the catalog) at any time with reasonable notice. Live status: /status.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, code, and branding associated with Arch Tools is proprietary to MCMetaverse LLC or its licensors. Your inputs, and outputs generated for you through the Service, remain yours to the extent permitted by the upstream provider's terms.

8. Privacy & Data Deletion

Our Privacy Policy describes exactly what we collect and how it's used. Highlights: we store your email and a one-way hash of your API key — never card numbers (Stripe holds payment details). You can delete your account and data yourself at any time via DELETE /v1/agent (with confirmation) — this permanently erases your profile, keys, OAuth grants, and usage history; anonymized payment records are retained only as required by tax and accounting law.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We will update the effective date above, and for material changes we will notify registered users by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MCMETAVERSE LLC EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; (b) any AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose; (c) the Service will meet your specific requirements; or (d) any defects will be corrected. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, biased, or incomplete. You are solely responsible for validating all outputs before use in any production, legal, medical, financial, or other consequential context.

We are not responsible for outages, inaccuracies, or failures caused by third-party services including but not limited to Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, Google, ElevenLabs, Resend, CoinGecko, Brave Search, Tavily, Exa, or any other upstream provider.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MCMETAVERSE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($25.00).

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN TYPES OF DAMAGES. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MCMetaverse LLC, its members, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of or access to the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms or the AUP; (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights; (d) any content you transmit through the Service; or (e) any AI-generated output you use or distribute.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina. You waive any objection to jurisdiction or venue in such courts. Nothing in this section deprives you of mandatory consumer protections of the country or state where you reside.

14. International Users (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our lawful bases for processing your personal data, and your rights (including access, correction, deletion, and portability), are set out in the Privacy Policy, including a plain-language lawful-basis table. You can exercise deletion yourself via DELETE /v1/agent or by emailing [email protected].
